Golden Island KRK
Krk is the largest Croatian island and also one of the liveliest. The island has a unique flora and fauna, beautiful clean beaches and cozy coastal towns. The island is easily accessible from the mainland by a 1.5 km long bridge. You can also take the plane directly to KRK. The airport of Rijeka is located on the island. For a stay on the island KRK you are not dependent on the ferry.
The largest town on the island is the town of the same name KRK. There are remains of the Roman city walls from the 2nd century BC, a cathedral and defense towers from the 12th century to admire. The town has a lively boulevard with restaurants and terraces and the town invites to visit the market and shops in the mostly narrow alleys.
